I can't hear anyone in my Zoom call.

If you are experiencing audio problems before or after joining a meeting while using the desktop client, follow the steps below.


When you first join a zoom meeting using the Meeting ID. You will see the following screen. If the first box is checked, in some instances, you will be unable to hear or be heard.



If you are already in a zoom call and experiencing audio issues, you may encounter the option to fix it, otherwise you will need to enable this setting manually.



To do so, click on the Join Audio button in the bottom left of your Zoom window. Then navigate to Audio Settings...



Lastly, navigate to the audio section and ensure your Speakers (High Definition Audio Device) is selected, or if you are using headphones, click the Speakers (High Definition Audio Device) option and then select Headphones.


For best results, ensure the following options are checked.


• Automatically adjust microphone volume


• Zoom optimized audio


and lastly ensure it is on Auto to optimize background noise is filtered out as needed.


If you continue to run into issues, please submit a ticket. If it is urgent, please submit a ticket and then call the helpdesk.
